In almost any process, work items will be "assembled" at some point. This could mean putting a component inside a box, as in simulation terms this is assembling since 2 or more items will be converted into 1 item.
Alter the simulation as above - create a new storage bin and connect it to Process 1. Highlight the Store, and select the Advanced tab on the ribon and click the Start Up button. Set the Start Up condition to 100 - this places 100 parts in the store when the simulation is started. Name the Store "Stocks" Click on the Work Center connected to these 2 stored and select the Routing In option from the properties tab. Select the Collect option. The Collect Option assembles parts - so 2 parts will enter the work center, but only 1 will leave. Work will not start until all the parts required are present. What happens when the Stocks storage bin is empty?
